Three months ago, I started an extreme home fitness program called P90X (full disclosure – I earn a commission if you purchase). Last night, I celebrated the end of it and am happy to share my results with you today.
For those of you who don't know, P90X is an at-home fitness program that requires you to workout every day for about an hour, for 90 days straight. There are no machines or fancy training equipment involved—it's just you, gravity, and sometimes a chair, a pull-up bar, free weights or resistance bands.
I wasn't exactly sure how well the program would work for me, but I had to do something active since working from home and taking care of a child was starting to become synonymous with a growing gut and a lack of energy. I chose P90x because I had seen a friend have some success with it, and the infomercials were just too darn convincing.
Before I started, I made a conscious decision to really go all out with it—to strictly stick to the program so I could maximize my results and follow the nutritional plan as close as humanly possible. I was offered to use a friend's copy of the program, but I declined because I knew that if I spent the money to buy it myself, I would me more likely to complete it, since I paid for it.
On Day 0, there is a fitness test that you take so you can take it again 90 days later to see how much you've improved. Here are my results of the fitness test below, along with a description of what each part involves if applicable:
Body Fat Percentage
I used an at-home scale that also measures body fat percentage. I believe the actual numbers are off, but I used the same scale before and after so you see there was a difference:
- Day 1: 27%
- Day 90: 18.4%
I suspect both of those numbers are a bit high, because I don't think I was at 27% when I first started out, but no matter what, I did lose a lot of fat, which is awesome! You'll see in the pictures below.
Weight
- Day 1: 171.4 lbs.
- Day 90: 156 lbs.
Right before I started P90x, I had purchased two new pair of jeans. Well—now they don't fit. My waist shrank a total of 3.5″, and I'll be needing to get some new jeans. I'm okay with that though.
Resting Heart Rate
- Day 1: 62 beats per minute
- Day 90: 54 beats per minute
These rates were taken after 2 minutes of remaining calm and quiet. It is said that the lower your resting heart rate is, the better your aerobic condition is. Because my resting heart rate is lower now, it means that my heart doesn't have to work as hard to pump blood through my body.
Most of the following exercises are done “to failure”, meaning you count how many you can do until your muscles (or mind) won't let you do anymore.
Pull-ups
- Day 1: 6
- Day 90: 28
This was a huge change for me. HUGE. I was never good at doing pull-ups before, and it's the only thing that was holding me back from earning my “presidential fitness test award” back in elementary school.
Vertical Leap
- Day 1: 18.5″
- Day 90: 25″
I was never really concerned about how high I could jump, but it's cool to use it as a gauge for how much stronger my legs are. If I were only 6 inches taller, I could slam dunk a basketball. I guess I'll just have to work on getting my vertical leap up to above 30″ then.
Push-Ups
- Day 1: 29
- Day 90: 64
In the P90X program, you do A LOT of push-ups. It's cool though, because there are several different types so it's not just boring standard push-up over and over again. For example, there's the wide stance, military, diamond, dive-bomber, one-arm, clap, plyo (jumping), and sphinx push-ups, all targeting different muscles in their own special little way.
Toe Touch
This is simply a measurement to see how flexible you are. Sitting, with both legs straight out in front of you, bend over and try to touch your toes. If you can't you measure how far away you are (-), and if you can pass your toes, you measure by how much (+).
- Day 1: -2.5″
- Day 90: +1″
Wall Squat
Here is the quick description: place back flat against wall and lower your body into a seated chair position (quads parallel to the floor, feet directly below knees—think 90 degree angle here). Time how long you can hold this position.
- Day 1: 1 minute 37 seconds
- Day 90: 3 minutes 31 seconds
Bicep Curls
Simply record how many bicep curls you can do until failure. I was using a 30 lbs. resistance band.
- Day 1: 40
- Day 90: 106
In & Outs
This is an ab workout that required you to sit on the floor with your legs extended out, and you simply bring your legs in & out (bend & straighten) repeatedly until failure.
- Day 1: 40
- Day 90: 171
Pictures
I know many of you are interested in the pictures, so here they are:
As you can see by the smile on my face, I'm quite happy with the results. Plus, as I mentioned before, I feel like I have so much more energy now—which is perfect timing because Keoni, my 9 month old son, requires a lot of it. He's starting to crawl!
A Few Things I Learned Along the Way
Like with any business or blog, just getting started is the hardest part. At the beginning, it was tough. I could barely do half of the workouts on the DVDs and would constantly drop out in the middle of routines just to rest. One of the mantras of P90X is “Push Play Everyday”, and that's exactly what I did, and after a while I began to notice that what was once hard was getting easier and easier everyday.
Also, I learned that nutrition is more important than anything. What you eat makes up 85% of your results and the workouts and training is only 15%. It sounds crazy, but it's soooo true. I've learned so much about nutrition by following this program that I'm now extremely conscious about what goes into my body. Like I heard someone once say before, “your body needs food for energy, like a car needs fuel to drive. If you want your car to run for a long time, you couldn't fill it with crap fuel, would you? A high-performance car requires high performance fuel.”
I've played sports since I was born, but am now in the best shape of my life—and it literally only took 90 days to accomplish. Anyone can do this program, I'm sure of it—you just have to believe in yourself, and keep pushing play everyday, no matter what.
Lastly, I'd just like to say that I know this blog is primarily about business, blogging and earning money online, but really none of that stuff matters if we're not healthy enough to enjoy life, right?
Thanks for your support and holding me accountable for this. I've gotten a lot of emails and tweets about how it was going. Oh, and I'll be starting another 90 days tomorrow.
Stay tuned for a new Podcast session coming on Wednesday. Cheers!
P.S. If you're interested in purchasing P90X for yourself, I would love it if you used my affiliate link below. If you'd rather not, that's totally cool too—no worries!

Andrew @ Blogging Guide says
Great results, Pat.
I’ve been following a 12-week plan that has recently finished for me. I lost 12lbs and 4 inches off my waist.
Having a daily plan and targets to aim for is what motivated me. Very much like running a business!
Andrew
Pat says
Thanks Andrew! Congrats on your success as well!
Rob Pene says
Congratulations bro!
Super motivating!
I tried to start the workout called “Insanity” and couldn’t even get past the warmup phase 🙁 LOL
Pat says
I have a few friends doing Insanity, and it definitely sounds…insane. Lots of cardio I hear!
Hector Cuevas says
I’ve seen the infomercial for insanity.. it’s crazy!! – results in 60 days.
Good luck with that Rob..
Mani says
Hey Pat,
This is a great achievement! Congratulations to you.
Since 90 days are complete, what’s your follow up plan to maintain this physique?
– Mani
Mani says
Ok, so you are starting another 90 days tomorrow! This is awesome dedication.
Pat says
Yep! Another 90 days tomorrow. It’s become a part of my daily routine, and if I miss a day it’ll seem kind of weird. I guess it’s a good thing to have as part of my daily to do, and it’s only about an hour, which is nice. Thanks for the support!
Shaun Mailing says
I like how the before picture is always looking upset and the picture’s darker, while the after picture always has a big smile and the person has a nice tan / the picture’s lighter. Did they tell you to do that in the manual Pat? lol.
On a serious note though well done, glad to see it had some good results. Just make sure you keep it up and don’t slide back into old habits 🙂
Pat says
Thanks Shaun! I’ll definitely do my best not to get into old habits, although I did have a pizza and beer last night for dinner to celebrate. Every 90 days seems ok I guess, lol.
As far as the picture, I did not do that on purpose, it just came out that way, but it definitely looks like I know what I’m doing doesn’t it, as far as making sure they both look like not in day. Not in the manual, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to put in there, haha! Thanks again!
Victor says
I admire that you stuck with it.
Well done!
Chris C. Ducker says
Pat
Congrats, mate.
WOW.
You must be one of the fittest looking full-time web marketers I know now!!!
That workout routine is a KILLER, and you obviously crushed it.
Good job, buddy.
C
Pat says
Hah – that’s funny, I never really thought about that. Maybe so!
Victor says
Btw Pat. What happens now? You have inspired me and got me interested in this program. Does the course tell you what you should do once the 90 days are completed?
Victor
Pat says
Hey Victor – the guide goes over briefly how to stay in shape after the 90 days, but many people, including myself, add on another 90 days simply because it’s been a part of our daily routine for so long, it would feel weird not to do a workout.
sjay says
Great to see the good results…I have been taking a similar plan but it totally base on what I eat. I lost 15kg withing a month and feels really good.
@Chris C I agree with you. Pat will be one of the fittest full time web marketers.
Onibalusi Bamidele says
Really great post Pat,
This is really great improvement and the pictures prove it.
About setting up businesses that gets results, you are absolutely right that starting is the most difficult thing, but once you get started everything becomes easier.
Lance says
Amazing progress, Pat!!
And the photos speak volumes to what you accomplished!!! Awesome!
I’m finishing up one program in a couple of weeks…this looks like a great possible next step!
Florian says
YES. That’s it! Congranz from Germany man! 🙂 90 days full of pain *lol* 🙂
Michael says
Pat you’re a machine dude!
Great analogy and very inspiring.
Keep rockin’
Michael
Mark Bell says
Pat, that’s awesome! I’m pretty keen to get myself back into shape when I get back from our wedding/honeymoon in November – I’ve free food at Disney, so my poor body will take some abuse lol
It’s impressive what you’ve achieved – there’s a lot more definition! Those stats are pretty good – pull ups are real tough! I’d be happy to do 1 or 2 at the moment – at 6′ 3″ and 230lb they aren’t exactly easy lol!
Pat says
Hey Mark – I hired a personal trainer before my wedding, and honestly the results with P90X are much better, and faster. Congrats on the wedding by the way!
And yes, you do have a bit more to push than I do, and you probably have longer arms too, hehe! If you do P90X, I bet you could get 10-15 easy by the end of it, if not, more!
Mike says
Hey Pat,
I just wanted to mention how true this is re: P90x results vs. trainer. Trainers are great too. But the most valuable thing about P90x is that it takes you through more routines, teaching, learning, motivation, etc. than one ever expects. Eventually, it becomes fun,
Also, I am 6’5 and 250. Often times, I struggle with things like pull ups. The good part though is during the work outs, there is always one person doing a slightly modified (somewhat less strenous) version. You can reach milestones this way, through gradual progress.
You WILL make the progress if you and hit play everyday.
John Tuggle says
You’re awesome man! That has to be a tough thing to complete.
You’re now ready for the trumpet rock opera magnum opus world tour! 🙂
See ya,
John
Jared says
Great results Pat. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and congrats on getting your baseboard put on as well. 😉
Christina (@CashCampfire) says
That’s terrific, Pat! You look great.
Keep sticking with it! You’re starting to see some really good results, so that should help with motivation if your body gets too lazy. You have an admirable dedication, though, so I doubt that will ever be an issue. 🙂
Christina
Mark Mason says
Very cool results Pat. Two questions — did you do your workouts inside or outside most of the time, and if inside — how much room did you need?
Too bad there is no P90X affiliate program….
Mark
Pat says
All the workouts I did inside in the living room, in a space about 6ft x 9ft
They sell it on Amazon, and they do have a “coaching program” where you can signup to be a coach and make a commission off of products, but I didn’t want to go that route.
Dusty says
There is an affiliate program via copeac (a CPA network). Tons of clicks….terrible conversions – most people get a warm and fuzzy feeling by ordering while watching their TV 🙁
Leon Aldrich says
Pat,
I think you and Tyrone should up the “Niche Duel” to include P90X completions (grin).
Pat says
I’d be down for that!
Leon Aldrich says
And rule #1: “You can’t outsource your VA to do the P90X for you!” (You hear me Tyrone?)
Bryan @ Free At Home Jobs says
Hey Pat – Congrats on the awesome results man! I’ve been looking into P90X for a long time, but never bought it (probably since I’ve done the at home programs before and they usually end up sitting around). The thing that is drawing me to it most is that many people have had extreme results from it.
My one question – Did you have to alter your diet a lot in order to achieve these results?
Pat says
Absolutely – what you eat is more important than the workouts you do. If you just change your diet and don’t do the workouts, you could still lose a LOT of weight.
Bryan @ Free At Home Jobs says
Very true – My major thing is soda. I bet just eliminating that alone would make a huge difference. I’m slowly trying to though, but definitely considering giving P90X a go. They’ve got it at QVC with a couple flex payments, so I may take the plunge this week!
MediaGrow says
Hey Pat, all this in 90 days, cool and amazing You will be successful in everything you do because you stick with it, just like your website business you did not give up and you see the results, same as your fitness. You work hard and you see results there is no magic bullet just hard work will pay off,
Good job,
Marios
Omar says
Did you cut liquor out too from your diet???
Omar says
By the way AWESOME results…… Very motivating!
Pat says
Yes, I did, but you don’t have to. Beer has a lot of carbs though!
Dustin | Engaged Marriage says
Excellent work, Pat! You are to be applauded for sticking with a very challenging program and kicking some major ass!
These are the kind of results we hope couples make with our Fit Marriage programs…coming very soon! 🙂
Tony Marciante says
So great to see Pat…I did the original P90 and lost 110 lbs in 6 months (2 x 90 days)..their systems work, and no, I am not a paid sponsor 🙂
As a testament to true life changes, I had major changes happen, and I did not continue my proper workouts..and the weight crept back partially…your post her is another motivator that pushes me to get back on it. I have been very conscious of it lately, and it’s time!
I have to say also Pat, your podcast is great, your model is great, and your ebook really shows how informative and professional a FREE download can be?!?
If you consider that any internet business can be scammy as you say or COMPLETELY legit, it just depends on ones personal make up. Some like to work regular jobs and be scammy too?! Personal character affects everything we do..but I have to say, your site, story and information hits so home for me because I have a full time brick and mortar business, but my near future has to be internet based (restaurant biz is very hard and time consuming …Please keep telling your story, interviewing cool guests and bringing it to a reality for us reading and listening…rock on!
Moon Hussain says
Pat, congrats on looking and feeling better! I’m trying to include regular exercise every day into my schedule and I think it’s helping, just a bit slow.
Doing it 90 days? That’s gotta be remarkable….!
Hector Cuevas says
Pat.. congrats on your great results bro..
I know how hard p90x is, I’m actually getting started with is myself. (again) I did it back in 08.. and then let myself go. Time to get back in the X-game..
Hector
Wes says
Way to go, Pat!
Rudy Rodarte says
Whoa! You look like a total stud! Congrats!
bill says
Great result, Pat!
I have a specific P90X question for you: I was looking into purchasing the P90X program. I had really wide doors that the pull-up bar wouldn’t fit. Did you use the bar or the resistance band? I notice you mentioned that resistance band. Did you use it exclusively?
thanks.
Karl Hadwen says
Looking great Pat! I see a few people are starting to use p90x and it seems to be producing some great results. As an avid gym junkie myself I’m seriously impressed with your transformation!
Devin Elder says
Nice work Pat! The only way to do P90X is to go ‘all in’!
I love P90X because of the pure efficiency of it – no driving, no gym membership, just pure working out and *very* little time wasted.
You’ve taken the ‘transparency’ of this blog to a new level, congrats again on being one of the few people who actually finishes the program!
Jason says
Kick-ass dude!
So, is this next round going to be doubles or are you going all the way with the P90X/Insanity hybrid? 😉
Jason says
BTW, I know you’re all about the diet: “…what you eat is more important than the workouts you do…” but really what it comes down to is burning calories.
If you burn more calories than you take in, you’ll lose weight. Just look at Phelps, he eats a bazillion pounds of “crap” food a day but he works out like a monster.
I’m not condoning eating crap as long as you work it off though…there’s a lot to be had from a healthy diet….like…um, being healthy. 🙂
Amy Gould says
Way to go Pat! You look awesome! Keep it up thats the hardest part. You would think it’d be the 90 days, but my husband really struggled with re-starting the program after the first 90 days.
Patrick | Lalala Music says
Flynn! Great job dude! Bring on the next 90 days! Going for hulk?
Cheers
Patrick
Adrijus says
What a great job man! Big difference in pictures can be seen. Be careful with doing too much push ups or bench presses since your shoulders tend to round forward a bit. More back work is probably needed. 😉
Best of luck!
Sean Matthews says
Awesome job Pat! I recently lose 70 pounds using HCG. So I know how good it feels to shed weight and tone your body.
Sean
Wes says
Wow!
Great results! I would like to think that I would be able to complete it, but I’m not so sure. The nutritional part of it would be the tough part for me. That’s a hell of a commitment to make, but the results are worth it. Congrats!
Patrick from Make Money Buzz says
that is really cool man! i’ve started a new diet about a month ago and am -16lbs since then but i am lacking a workout routine. i think i’ll look into the p90x. awesome results and congrats again!
Jennie says
Wow!!! Great results. I’ve thought about getting this program for a while now, very convincing results!
Ola says
Great results Pat!! My package just arrived today – I can’t wait to start. You look great.
Lew Sabbag says
Way to go Pat!
I was waiting for the results posting. I wish I could say I had as much success as you.
I struggled with the weight loss side but the strength side was amazing. Now that it’s over I can’t wait to get on the telemark skiis & rip it up. I finished on Sept 1st and now I have to figure out the next phase – it sure takes commitment to get thru ALL those 90 days!
Larry Clark says
Now come do some Kettlebells with me at the Y. I can bring a guest and you can check out the awesome facility, and then maybe get yourself a membership and do some Kettlebell training with me. 🙂
Awesome post and Result.
My lady has been poking me about p90x.
Shawn Swisher says
Congratulations! Those pics are a huge motivation. I just started a P90X program at my church and it seems more like torture than exercise, lol.
Kelsey says
That is so awesome pat! I have Insanity and I really like it. I liked it better than p90X because you just use your own body weight instead of having to buy dumbells. Your photos are awesome!
Lucy Castle says
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I totally envy your will power.
Beth Jennings says
That’s really so great Pat and wonderful that you make the comments about nutrition. it’s so important to eat well, and you feel like crap if you don’t eat well when your body isnt’ used to it. What a great endorsement for healthy living this is! thanks for the update, I bet your wife is loving it!! he he!
Heike Lorenz says
Wow!
You look great after the 90-day training.
Congratulations!
Momekh says
Wow. Man, this is good.
A few things that I have been meaning to say…
Your blog is one of my ‘most read’ blogs, because I get to read about ‘you’ who happens to be ‘getting it together’ pretty much right in front of eyes (of course, I am not at all implying that you were not getting it together before, but you already know what I meant 🙂 ).
And one more thing, that I am far more interested in, is ‘getting a life’, in an-almost-academic type of way. :/ hmmm…This makes me wonder how much this blog inspires you further. Do you use your blog as inspiration to ‘do things’? I mean, are you ‘using’ this great platform to spur yourself forward? It would be a surprise to me if you don’t, given the kind of inspiration I personally derive from your writing, Pat, but still, I would like to hear your take on it.
Getting in shape has of course NOTHING to do with generating Smart Passive Income, now does it? But you obviously get the picture. 🙂
I am trying to do the same thing at my blog, and would probably be pitching in a niche-site duel with you (which is not a duel anymore given the number of participants is more than two :P).
So, inspiration from your own blog and how you go about it? 🙂
God bless and good luck!
Azad @ Blogging Geeks says
That’s great you can beat Arnold. Keep working.
Sunil from The Extra Money Blog says
wow – excellent. nailed it on the head though when you talked about getting started. the other piece of the execution is persistence and perseverance. you didn’t quit when it was tough and it hurt. interesting how the required traits and habits of all success, personal or business are the same 🙂
Mike says
Really happy to see your results Pat. You made some killer progress across the board. That has to be energizing! I totally agree with your last point re: our health being so important. Once you make it through and see and (more importantly) feel the results, it becomes a lifestyle.
Take Care, Mike
Eric | My 4-Hour Workweek says
Looks like you really brought it, Pat. As someone who is currently doing P90X (I’m in week 6), this is seriously motivating stuff.
And that’s pretty hardcore of you to tackle another 90 days, but I was thinking I might do that too once I finish. It’d be a shame to lose everything you worked hard for, so why not keep it going?
Are you going to do the regular (“classic”) routine again, or going to try doubles?
– Eric
Ben says
Well done Pat! I did P90X last year and I also ended up in some of the best shape of my life. I didn’t diet as hard as I should have along with the workouts so my results weren’t as striking as yours but I got similar increases in strength, endurance, etc. I’m planning to do it again in the coming year.
One point of caution is to have something lined up to replace P90X. I just went back to my old workout routine afterwards and lost a lot of my gains. Next time I’ll follow it up with Insanity or one of their other programs to keep the momentum going.
Erik R says
Pat,
Your a beast now! Keep it up.
Glad to hear you understand that the nutrition is the most important part. It is also the hardest part to stick to. But once you get into the routine and are conscious of what goes into your body, you start to really see some results.
Keep it up for the next 90 days!
Chris Guthrie says
I can’t believe 90 days have already passed because I remember the day you wrote about P90x.
I think I will do P90x finally… I’d been meaning to buy it for a while now (since I canceled my gym membership).
Dustin Baier says
Congrats on the success. Its amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it!
Steve says
Pat, what you said about diet is 100% correct. I have been doing the Atkins diet which is really just eliminating sugar and bad carbs from your diet. I eat lots of lean protein like fish, chicken eggs and salads. My main fruit is strawberries and berries. I have stuck to it and 16 weeks later I have dropped 22 pounds from 201 to 179. My goal is 170. I have been trying to walk 30 min. a day and do the pushups, dumbells and crunches. But I really believe all of the weight loss is coming from the change in eating habits.
My son has been doing P90X with a Buddy of his and says it kicks there butts, but is a great program. Congrats on completing it.
Leon Aldrich says
I did Adkins with a starting weight of 255, dropping to 220 in less than three months. I followed the diet and walked one (1) hour every day without fail, tossing in a light-weight effort of sit-ups for good measure.
Dropping processed sugars in any form, make the difference.
Wedding Paper Genie l Tim says
Great inspiration, Pat – My last “Hoorah” was yesterday (largely due to your post) for Monday night football and I’m on to a new and improved diet. Looking forward to the added energy!

Claudia says
Hi Pat, congrats! That are awesome results! Many people give up after a few days because they don’t get instant results. Looking back 90 days don’t seem that long, especially once you have established your routine.
James Tayo says
Way to go, Pat. It doesn’t get anymore transparent than this. I wish I had enough dedication to follow through with a program like that.
Carlito says
Congrats Pat, that’s awesome. I started thinking about doing the P90x myself a couple of months back because some of my friends where doing it – and I finally decided to go for it shortly after I read in your July income report that you were doing it. Still, it took me quite a while to actually get down to it since then, but I’m doing it now, so thanks for the inspiration!
I’m at day 4, it’s been hard so far, but like he says, “I hate it… but I love it!”
Jun Wei says
Nice change with bodyweight exercises! *I can only do 11 pull ups.*
Ever thought of including free weights into your fitness program?
You could also try modifying the wall squat and do it without the wall. This would be similar to the horse-riding stance used by martial artists. I guarantee you will find it a tougher challenge 😉
Jérôme says
The results are very impresive. Am I doing right when I do my Pilates methods ? It is not as impresive as your results, but I like this mehods to. It helsp me boosting my backbone to avoid pains.
Sean Matthews says
Hi Pat,
Wow, these results are amazing for the time you’ve been doing the program. What is your ultimate end goal for yourself, just to get more tone or to eventually build more muscle mass? You’ve motivated me to take the plunge as well. Look forward to seeing future results.
Sean

I just started my second week of p90x. I am totally getting worked and enjoying it! I went this route because of the desire to have a more trainer type guidance to my working out and I haven’t been disappointed!
Tom W says
Nice results Pat! You’ve inspired me to try this out! Do you have any goals in mind for when you complete your next 90 days? Also, does the nutritional side cater for vegetarians/vegans?

I bought the p90x but never tried it. Now i am going to read the 2 books and watch the dvd’s. Awesome job pat
Mark | Wealthy Affiliate Revolution says
Nice work Pat!
What I like about P90X is that every day is different which keeps things fresh. I have been doing a variation of it myself that my wife and I affectionately call the P45X (because we only do half). It’s nice to have a program that both of us can do in the comfort of our own home with very little equipment.
Again, Awesome work!
Steve-Personal Success Factors says
Pat, I recently finished the Chicago Half Marathon, and now I’m ready for my next challenge: P90X! I love these challenges, because they’re a lot like working on our smart passive income: it takes constant hard work! I’m starting P90X on Sunday, and I won’t even tell you what my pre-test results were–too embarrassing 🙂
Steve-Personal Success Factors says
Pat, love that you are did this! I recently finished a Chicago Half Marathon, and the year before I had never even run more than 2 miles. This is my next challenge. I love the correlation that this type of challenge has with blogging, smart passive income, and so many areas of our lives.

Every program has it’s pros and cons. The main thing P90x does well is spreading the message about working hard for results. It really is the only way to dramatically change your body. For me it took only 3 months… and shortly after that I became a pro athlete.
I like your last statement.
”Lastly, I’d just like to say that I know this blog is primarily about business, blogging and earning money online, but really none of that stuff matters if we’re not healthy enough to enjoy life, right?”
Since starting the new site last year, I have actually incorporated some entrepreneurial concepts into the fitness lifestyle. And just as you say in the statement above, there really is no point to anything if you are not healthy.

I can’t believe you didn’t post an affiliate link to Power90X. You should definitely be promoting this as an affiliate!

Hi Pat,
Well done! You are financially fit and now physically fit too. I did P90X in 08. Now again into the 1st recovery week. I am impressed with your 28 pull-ups. Were those all in one go? Or did you take breaks off the bar? I had 12 when I started and got to 18… I would love to get to 28. Maintaining your current level of fitness does not seem like your personality. You are always trying to get your businesses to produce more… I imagine the second round will have even more dramatic results.
Keep up the hard work. “Do your best. And forget the rest…”

Thanks, Pat, for posting this. My husband bought P90X many months ago. He did it for a while but ran out of gas.
After I showed him this post the other day, we committed to doing it together. We just took our photos, did our measurements, and will start in earnest tomorrow! Thanks for your inspiration.

Wow Pat you look great. How long is each day’s workout? I have 3 boys under 8 years old and finding “me” time is difficult.

Congratulations on your results man, that’s awesome! I’m a coach with Team Beachbody, and I love hearing success stories of those who have been able to make a change in their health using our awesome products.
How have the second 90 days been going for you?

Hi Pat,
Congrats on your success. Keep rocking the body, man.

You look great with a huge change in pecs and torso. I’m very impressed by the change in only 3 months.

That is awesome!
Really impressive you actually did it for 90 days too! 🙂
I recently started running (well frequently running that is) and trying to share that with people which inspired me to set up http://www.myrun.com.au. It is so much different writing for something that you actually do or being passionate about then just writing for the writing sense without the affiliation to it. Keyword affiliation!
I think a few people out there do forget about that sometimes when being on affiliate marketeer… Myself included 🙂

sorry, will use this Avatar 🙂

nice results Pat! I’m now on my fifth round of P90X, I’ve also done Insanity with great results. I decided to go the coach route because I had so many people asking me questions about it I figured I might as well get paid for it!
Rico@rotator cuff pain relief says
Congratulations. I forget the exact statistics, but I think it’s like 90% of those who start an exercise program, stop it within two months. Having a 90 day set of results is amazing. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I was wondering if you could give me some help with the nutrition. I have tried in vain multiply times to complete the program but every time I lose focus and drive due to lack of results and basically just simple laziness. I believe this can be changed by following a sound nutrition plan but given my current situation it is very difficult to achieve. Right now I am still living at home with my parents and brother so there is always something tempting around me to sway me away from any nutritional plan. Also I eat what my mother cooks for dinner every night, which is usually something quick and easy and therefore most of the time not to good for me. I would try to buy my own healthier food and cook but considering how much money make and my lack of cooking skills, I’d be poor and starving by end of the first week. So if you have any kind of advice for me please let me know. I really feel that if I can eat healthier I will see better results and therefore be much more inclined to stay on program. Thanks!

Awesome! I’ve dabbled with p90x but never actually did the program – diet and all – for the whole 90 days. Maybe it’s time to start…

Nice results! I use P90X as well and I love it. It’s the first program I’ve been able to stick with and get results from because Tony makes hard exercise fun. Started at 210 pounds and not able to do a pullup. Down to 170 and can do 10 or 12 unassisted.
Chris Huntley says
Dang, Pat. 26 pull-ups! That’s crazy. I completed the program a couple years ago and got to 15. I actually did it because I had a high cholesterol result on a life insurance exam, and wanted to lower it. I dropped my total cholesterol by more than 40 points, if my memory serves me. Glad to know you’re a fellow p90x’er.
Andrew @ 40dollarwpinstall.com says
wow, congratulations! you’re a motivation machine 🙂

Congratulations for your commitment! I love the way you describe your P90X experience. You made an enormous progress – your after photos are amazing! I also like your detailed information about your push ups, pull ups, body fat percentage and weight. The biggest plus is for your attitude – enthusiasm and discipline combined together.
I did my P90X Classic and after a month Doubles last year. Reading about your
achievements is really interesting for me. You write about yourself and
encourage people to try this program. Thank you for sharing it on your blog!
Bestwishes,
Berry
